Book Tag | Favourite Opening Lines

Hello lovelies!

I have been tagged for this super fun challenge where I have to state some of my favourite opening lines and here I go –

#HarryPotter – Mr. and Mrs. Dursley of number four, Privet Drive, were proud to say that they were perfectly normal, thank you very much.

#GreatExpectations – My father’s family name being Pirrip, and my christian name Philip, my infant tongue could make of both names nothing longer or more explicit than Pip. So, I called myself Pip, and came to be called Pip.

#Macbeth – When shall we three meet again — In thunder, lightning, or in rain?

#PrideAndPrejudice – It is a truth universally acknowledged, that a single man in possession of a good fortune, must be in want of a wife.

#AnnaKarenina – Happy families are all alike; every unhappy family is unhappy in its own way.

#Metamorphosis – As Gregor Samsa awoke one morning from uneasy dreams he found himself transformed in his bed into an enormous insect.

#WutheringHeights – I have just returned from a visit to my landlord – the solitary neighbor that I shall be troubled with.

Take care!
