Review | 44 Scotland Street by Alexander McCall Smith

2020-03-01-15-30-13-226You know that time when you just like the cover and don’t judge the book at all. This is one of those. Such a pretty cover but the story line was vague. Too many characters with too many stories, some of which never become resolved. And most of these characters were one dimensional. While not enjoying this aspect of the book, I can’t help but be impressed by references to philosophy, paintings, books and writings and of course the setting of a historical apartment building and street in modern Edinburgh.

A light read.
