Review: Asura: Tale of the Vanquished by Anand Neelakantan

DTKRVfQVwAA-iM8Nope I didn’t like this. Another take on an epic is fine, but such rewriting is not required. The book is about hating North Indians, and what is it with Sita being Ravana’s daughter. The Aryan society mistreats women and Ravana doesn’t want that for his daughter. So in keeping with the high moral principles of the Asuras, he kidnaps her and keeps her captive against her will – hah! What amazing form of equality! And to top it all, the book is very poorly written.
If you still want to read it, go ahead and let me know how you liked it.
