Rongali (colorful) Bihu / Bohag Bihu / Poila Boishak / Baisakhi – Everyone is celebrating the new year in the Hindu calendar in their own colorful way.
We Assamese people celebrate it by wearing new clothes, eating delicious food and dancing to folk songs!
Here I am, posing in a classic bihu dancing pose, wearing a pretty yellow and black mekhla chadar. Teaming it up with a quarter sleeved black blouse – traditionally the right length for a bihu dancer.
An elegant black pearl necklace around my neck, black earrings and a black wooden bangle on my right hand to go with the attire!
Completed this subtle look by tying up a loose bun and daunting a red lipstick from the Sugar Matte As Hell Lip Crayons in the shade Scarlett O’Hara.
Happy Bihu everyone!
