A very grande story line created by Salman Rushdie. A powerful real-estate tycoon Nero Golden immigrating to the States under mysterious circumstances, he and his three adult children assuming new identities, and moving into a grand mansion in downtown Manhattan.
The Obama era is used as a parallel to the story, although that took me some time to understand as I am weak in politics. I can imagine the political buffs to enjoy this parallel.
The plot has murder, sex, scandal, extra marital, love, betrayal, and every other ingredient to make the story all the more dramatic.
