The first thing that grabs your attention in this book is its cover. The beauty of Dhauladhar mountains captured right in the book cover.
The story portrays the story of some imperfect protagonists with the Dhauladhar ranges and a dam construction as a backdrop. The characters have their own exciting backgrounds defining their choices and personalities throughout the book, but they still remain intertwined to each other. The author’s narration was detailed but did not slow me down, except for the civil engineering part! That dragged for a bit.
Which character became my favourite? Had to be Khusru! With his wanderings across those picturesque landscapes and living life in the moment, he overcomes the problems in his life with the help of his strong inner voice!
In my opinion, if you are looking for something different, you may want to try this book. It’s an easy read, and pretty refreshing!
